New Zealand Day 1 (Nov 25th)

I have been writing blog posts on my laptop and now am going to post a few. They are not all going to be day by day, but the first few are. So, recaps of the first days today - and then more to come. And they will be less detailed. I got carried away.

We landed in Auckland at around 6:30 a.m. After a stop at duty-free to pick up some liquor, we easily passed through Immigration and Customs. Then, it was a 6 hour layover until we flew out to Christchurch. We just hung out in the airport, took a nap, bought a few things, and ate until it was time to go.

Then it was on to the plane, and getting into Christchurch. We took the bus to the hostel we stayed at. We got a room to ourselves, which was nice. It was quite a nice little hostel, in an old house. We went on a run and wandered around some botancial gardens.

Christchurch is the largest city on the small island. The downtown is very cute, and there is a river that runs through town. Not not much else for the night but sleeping and easting and checking the email. We shall be back there at some point, so we shall have more time to check things out. But, it seemed very picturesque, as is pretty muuch everything in New Zealand.

All our junk.
