in L.A.

We have been in LA since Wednesday night. Tuesday, we drove all the way from Marietta to Shreveport LA. Then, we got up and drove to Dallas. After that, we flew to Seattle... then L.A. It was a long stupid day. But, we got to L.A. and got a convertible rental car (which has been awesome, because we have been able to enjoy some really awesome weather).

We have been crashing at R's brother's place, which has been really good. It's been so nice of him to have us. We spent Thursday running errands, walked around UCLA, hit up Santa Monica (and REI), and went to Venice Beach as well. Friday, we went out to lunch, mainly just hung around then went out to an L.A. bar. Today, seeing friends, more errands...starting to get ready to go.

We leave for Auckland tomorrow at 8 p.m. It is a 13 hr and 25 min flight (not fun. but we have ativan). We then have a 6 hour layover in Auckland before we flight down to Christchurch.

Both R. and I are getting excited finally. I think all the craziness driving/traveling is over and now we finally get to relax and take it slow. It should be awesome. I'm going to try and post the last of the pictures from the U.S. tomorrow and I'm working on editing our videos to put as well.
