My grandfather just passed away. He'd fallen recently, broken his wrist and femur and hit his head. He potentially had a stroke. He's had surgery, but had been having lots of problems and passed away at 4:30am on Thursday AM.
This is not related to our trip, but I wanted to write about it anyway. I am sad to not be with my family right now. I am still having a good trip, but feel sad to be on the other side of the world and not be able to be with them and hug them.
My grandpa was 91, nearly 92. He had had a good long life. He did not suffer long and he got a good visit in w/his sons before he passed.
Anyway, it is a sad day. This is part of life.
Everyone have a drink for my grandpa today.
